Happy 3yrs Riches!!

Getaway time!! Celebrating 3 years, a new baby on the way and a nice long 4-day weekend for just the 2 of us, Ricardo and I headed to Mallorca. It was amazing! Perhaps because we did zero planning and we hadn't talked to many people who had been there, but we sure were impressed. We stayed in Palma and ventured around the island from there. Here's a few of the amazing sites from our getaway weekend.

our hotel- harbor side and overlooking the cathedral

day 1- heading to the old town and the 2nd tallest cathedral in the world
the beautiful village of Valldemossa
a hidden little cove we stumbled upon
Cals de Moro- you had to hike a little bit to get here, but completely undisturbed from hotels, restaurants and the normal things you would find around such a beautiful site.
my life for 4 days! famous Mallorcan Ensaimadas
lunch at the harbor at Port de Pollenca
these thousands of stairs led up to a sweet little church and down to the village where I enjoyed the Sunday market while Ricardo biked the area.
Cap de Formentor

Carolina Lola- 18 months old!

Our little girl has grown so much since her last monthly post (at 12 months). She is a talker, a singer, a dancer and never EVER sits still- so full if energy and so full of life. She repeats nearly every word you say, but her favorites are cookie, turkey, no, mami, papi, hola, chupe (spanish for paci), pato (duck), all gone, mas (more). She's about half and half now with spanish and english. Climbing on everything and standing on chairs are her big thing these days. If you ask her to sing, she says "happy" and starts to sing "happpy to youuuu"- adorable! She's still loving daycare, as the others sit and play when they arrive- she grabs your hand (or anyone's) and dances around the room (so super cute!). She really enjoys being outside, swinging, pushing her baby in the striller, sitting in the jogger.... She eats everything (still) and still getting her beauty sleep of 12hrs, though naps are verrrry unpredictable. Her lamb lamb and chupe are her life! If asked, she'll give Baby Begoña a kiss (on the belly) and occasionally to Mami and Papi too. Peppa Pig and Little Einsteins are her favorite cartoons, especially the opening song. So much action for her these days and we couldn't be more in love! Can't wait for her every next move.

Springtime in Tennessee

We miss our friends and family sooo sooo much! It was great to be home, but as always- the days feel so short. We were spoiled last year with so many trips to the US, but this is our last trip home as a family of 3. How great it was to relax at the lake with Grammie and Babaw, get to play with Addie and Rod, meet up with dear friends like Meghan, Lynn, the Bowmans and a very special treat to meet Ella Jo on her 1st day in this world. We'll be back in Decmeber and until then..... lot's of Skype calls to come!
