Ricky´s a Rock Star! And I just realized I´ve never posted on this!! This past weekend was a mini-tour around Spain with his band "Love Division" (see http://www.lovedivision.com/). They currently have a "Live in NYC" album out and on i-tunes. They´re recording their 1st studio album next weekend here in Madrid. I´ll let you know when it´s available for re-sale!

I´ve been testing my new SLR but have not mastered the art of lighting, thus I had to pull some previous action shots as well.

Belated New Year, Bday, and some yummy food!

Feliz Año Nuevo! We spent the New Year holiday with friends in Bilbao, also celebrating a Happy Birthday to Ricardo! (new year´s baby) Walking around the town and stopping for a few Pintxos (like a tapa or appetizer) is always a favorite part of my trips to the Basque country, so thought I´d include a picture of some of the yummy Spanish food. Wishing you all a wonderful 2009!

Happy Holidays!

Finally settled after a wonderful trip home to Tennessee for Christmas. Despite my detour in the Newark airport and a few days without luggage- it was such a nice and relaxing holiday vacation. Nothing like meeting some old friends for dinner, baking cookies with your niece and sister-in-law, shopping with mom and dad, Christmas eve with the neighbors, movies with your brother, and meeting the precious little baby of your best friend. Yes, indeed, this is what Christmas is all about. See you all again soon!

Skiing in the Pyrenees

Winter is here, and it´s time to break out the skis! Ricardo and I spent a long 3-day weekend in the North of Spain (Baqueira Beret) to enjoy the snow a bit. The weather was spot on- though I can´t admit my chair lift abilities were! Luckily that wasn´t captured, but I got a nice one of Ricky showing off! We spent the last day in the village of Vielha to enjoy the beautiful mountains.

and then there was turkey....

a bit delayed, i know... but we did manage to get around to our Thanksgiving meal. Turkey, dressing- even some sweeeeeet tea! the house was like a makeshift restaurant... but was nice to share the tradition with my american friends here in Madrid.
