We love us some New York City! Since Ricardo was flying thru NY on his way to TN for Christmas, we decided to meet him up there for a quick weekend in the city. Christmas lights, Rockefeller Tree, Central Park, Pizza in Little Italy, High Line Park a bit of shopping... Quick weekend, but we had a blast- and so did C!

Christmas in New York
Our first stop on the way home for the holidays..... New York City!
a trip to NY wouldn't be complete without a Hoboken dinner at J.R's! My heart just melted when Ricardo played "Here comes the sun" on the Juke Box- memories from our wedding weekend....
courtesy of my past 2 years of hotel points, we indulged and stayed at the Waldorf

We got married!
A week in New York, the Wedding of my dreams, and 2 weeks of honeymoon! What an amazing month it's been and I can't wait to share it with all of you who couldn't be there with us. (and relive the moments for those of you who were!)
We arrived a week early to "relax" a bit before the big event. That started well =) with free tickets to Sister Act on Broadway, PJ Harvey in concert, a nice dinner at le Cirque a few shopping trips and a visit to Highland Park in the Meat Packing district.
The Richards and de Abiega's finally met with a kick-off dinner at Liberty House Restaurant. A great night with our families

HOME!
Home for Thanksgiving! and this time I brought my fiance :-)

started with the Cake Boss in Hoboken to sample some yummy cakes and pick out our design. Mauro's in the background, but we didn't know who he was at the time (thus cutting him out)
the new World Trade Center already on the 40th floor!
Home in time for Turkey! Addie before she had to give Ricardo his shots =)

learning golf with Babaw- she had us rolling!

we didn't plan to meet up with Meghan- but glad we ran into her at the game

our good friends Jack, Lynn and Lee hosted an engagement party for us after the game. Such a great night with family: Mom and Dad, Rod, Suz and Addie, Aunt Linda and Uncle Steve, cousins Sissy and Annie and their families and adopted family Tammy and Eddie =) Luckily we get to celebrate with you again in April!

Return to the Big Apple
I'm on an American Roll! I'm really enjoying my domestic travel for the summer. Had 2 days in the city. Really wanted to sight see, really wanted to work off the nachos from last night! Decided to kill 2 birds with 1 stone. Not a bad view to keep me moving.

Nowhere like....
New York City in the Springtime! Spent a nice Saturday afternoon shopping on 5th Ave, watching the performers in Central Park, Pizza in Little Italy and enjoying some Jazz in the Village. Why not pack it all in 1 day! Back in 3 weeks for a more relaxed version.
a stroll in the park
quick stop by Hoboken and the Charthouse
Queen Mary passing by....

Let´s start with NY
We had a speedy tour in NY during our first weekend of vacation. As you can see below- Johnny Rockets was our 1st stop in Hoboken! The Smokehouse burger is absolutely my fav. Friday night Ricardo did an acoustic show at the Alphabet Lounge in the village. Laura, a close friend of Ricardo´s met us at the show, and we´re happy to announce she just gave birth to such a precious baby girl 2 short weeks later! It was so great to see old friends again. And then last but not least, we did a rapid shopping trip to every place imaginable. Even brought back a bike! Yes that´s right- a full blown bicycle! I couldn´t believe it- but we made it thru with no extra charges and in tip-top shape. I must say, we really miss NY and Hoboken! Next time- we need more than just a long weekend.
