Birthday getaway to Wilmington

C with Grammie, top down on the Solara and Ricardo and I headed out to celebrate. Thanks Francis for showing us around Wilmington. Such a beautiful town- like Charleston´s little sister. Ricardo and I then headed to Wrightsville Beach for Bday dinner on the pier. Lovely evening out!

Happy Thanksgiving

Hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving! Ricardo came to visit and we traveled to TN (via Chimney Rock) to celebrate Rod's bday with Suzanne and Addie, made a quick visit to "See Rock City", and enjoyed a few days at home w/ Mom and Dad and some wonderful homecooked meals (ooohhhh so yummy!). We topped if off with a lot of shopping and a visit to the Oak Ridge Museum of Science and Energy (for the History buff!). Nothing like home for the holidays! look how little Addie is growing- it's so sweet to hear her talking so much. See you guys soon!

a Tribute

In 2006 we had a reunion with my Mom's family. This weekend we will meet again to pay tribute to our sweet Grandmommy who passed away on Monday. Such a strong woman with a heart of gold...... she will be missed.

1 Packed week- US style

Asheville, Charlotte, and Charleston. Ricardo came to visit and besides eating at our very favorite restaraunts, we got to see the family (Richards and Migioia's), some Charlotte friends, try out the new car =) and head to Charleston for a little Re lax ation. Lovely time! Only complaint- too short!

I made it back to Charlotte for 3 whole days!! Mom came to visit and we hit the Cheesecake Factory, searched for apartments, and had a wonderful cookout with Richard, Kay, Emily, Steven, Madeline and Julie. These girls lit up the night! It was impossible to get us all in one picture.

Landed

i´m here. arrived to Charlotte last thursday and just getting settled. it´s reverse culture shock to the fullest. i completely forgot how much people in the grocery stores talk to you. it´s great. and haven´t heard one car horn yet. the new yorkers and europeans wouldn´t know how to act! it´s nice to be home. but i still feel like half my heart is in Madrid- so bare with me as i try to get make myself at home. the next few months are a whirwind. i´m off to Tennessee for the weekend. then a bit of adventure trying to learn the new job- Berlin, England, Houston, Madrid, Copenhagen, New York, Panama and repeat (there is a bit of vacation thrown in there!). i hope to see you all and your families along the way. lots of babies to meet! =)
