a Tribute to Alcala 151, 7 ext izda

as most of you know..... i´m moving back to the US in May. I´ve been stretching the days since December, but can´t squeeze much more out of it. We closed the doors on our sweet sweet house yesterday and moved into a smaller place in Madrid. While I know it´s just a house- i sure will miss this place. With a view like this- who wouldn´t!

Hasta la vista! (and yes- this really was our elevator!!)

Happy Easter from the Richards! (some of us)

What a wonderful Easter vacation here in Spain! Between Barcelona, Madrid, Toledo, Salamanca and Avila- I´m quite sure we visited every Cathedral and Plaza in the country. We also took 8gb of pictures- so I´ll have to sort a bit for our top highlights. Dad, Suz, and Addie we missed you guys here- but loved watching the videos you posted for us. And thanks Ricky for being our chauffeur and tour guide- Spain´s finest! Mom and Rod- thanks for making the long haul, glad you got one last trip in before I leave. We loved having you here!

Maersk in the news

Everyone is always asking what our company does. If you drive by a port city, you might see a vessel. Or sometimes you might see a container driving by on the highway. But not very often do we make front page headlines. Unfortunately, this time not for a very good reason. I could not believe my eyes! I was able to take a vessel trip a few years back and cannot imagine this happening! http://www.cnn.com/2009/WORLD/africa/04/08/ship.hijacked/index.html
